When we are in the mode of searching for a new position that better aligns with who we are and what we are looking for, it is challenging to take a step back. If you are career searching during the holidays, you may feel overwhelmed and missing out on holiday cheer.
This year is especially difficult and unpredictable, so the stakes are even higher. We are here to tell you that you should take a break from your search.
What? You may be thinking. Take a break? Shouldn’t this blog be encouraging me to search more?
Yes, we should be encouraging you to search more, but here is the thing, you won’t be focused and in tune with your search if you are figuring out your holiday zoom calls and picking out the perfect gifts for your loved ones. That’s why you need to take a break and focus on what is most important.
Your job search will continue, we will be here to support you and build a strategy that best aligns with who you are, but for now – we encourage you to eat your turkey and apple pie!
